- Conference focuses on wealth creation not climate stabilityInstead of choosing 1.5 degrees to save small island states and prevent worst case warming -Copenhagen climate conference is choosing " wealth creation by trickle down" to stop carbon usage rising- and to stop dangerous and catastrophic climate change. This has been in operation since ww2 and hasnt worked up to now, in fact its probably caused the mess. We dont need more of the same - we need a complete change in policy!

In my view the prize should be awarded equally to men and women - one man and one woman should always win each of the prizes. Women have a long way to catch up having been effectively excluded up to now 2009, which is nothing short of shameful.
Lets ensure they make up for it now and award it to at least one woman who has changed economics- every year from now on.

All previous projects like this have ended making matters worse- the problem is that humans dont understand their own planet enough to interfere with its workings effectively.. the world is littered with examples of man made interference ..usually with shameful ends.. lets ensure we dont make the same mistake again!

- Swine flu- cruel animal husbandry and bad practiseThe worlds largest pig producer- Granjas Carroll part of US Smithfield Foods- shocking pictures - is this what is creating the sickness Lets green up the agriculture industry- all species matter - (This firm claims to have a corporate social responsibility policy ????? - lets stop the greenwash- Lets end intensive farming completely)
- Swine flu- could we do more to avoid these epidemics?Swine flu turns out to be a new hybrid of 5 swine flu genes, two avian flu genes and 1 human flu gene. The epicentre seems to be intensive animal husbandry. It has long been known that mistreatment of animals makes them ill as it does with humans, and this illness can spread to other species. The core of Green Economics is to provision for the needs of all people everywhere, nature and other species, and the planet and its systems-we are all bound up together. If we hurt other creatures -we end up hurting ourselves. If this virus does nothing else- it should serve as a warning to us to respect our fellow species and to treat them well at all times. This is at the heart of a green economy.
